Simply pair your BlackLock with the Apple Find My app to view it right alongside your Apple devices. If your BlackLock ever goes missing, you can put BlackLock in Lost Mode to display a message and contact information to anyone who might find it.

I got so many bikes stolen that one day - in 2022 - I decided to develop a bike lock that makes it the hardest possible for thieves to steal while avoiding the disadvantages of classic bulky and unhandy bike locks.

The most important thing has always been for me to design a product that provides value to its owner and is worth every penny spent.

FAQ

What if the battery runs low?

You will be notified early when your battery is running low. If you have ignored all warnings, the lock will eventually turn off and can only be turned on again by shaking the lock. BlackLock will again turn off after one minute to save power. However, you will still be able to open the lock one more time in order to replace the battery afterwards.

Can I replace BlackLock with a real bottle of water?

Yes, you can! Whenever you plan to do a lengthy bike trip where you prefer to have your water bottle in tangible distance, you can easily replace BlackLock with a real bottle of water. You can still use BlackLock and lock your bike with it.

How do I lock and unlock BlackLock?

Simply push the button at the bottom of the lock and take out the ending of the chain.

Whenever you leave your bike, BlackLock goes into locked state which includes blocking the button so no else can disconnect the chain from the lock - and thus steal your bike.

Does BlackLock have an alarm?

Yes, it does. However, it is more a signal tone that should make potential thieves aware that BlackLock is attached to the bike and you, as the owner, will be able to locate it.

As various videos online proof, oftentimes it is not an alarm that prevents thieves of stealing bikes in public. It is the locating mechanism which scares them off stealing your bike.
